GLEN COVE, NY DECEMBER 3, 2004
Eclectic cover band Fear Sensing Seahorse will be providing the entertainment for a “Don’t Fear The New Year”celebration at JD GATES PUB in Glen Cove on New Year’s Eve, Friday December 31. Music starts at 10:00PM.
Admission is free, and the evening includes a free buffet, champagne toast, festive party hats and a 50/50 raffle. Plans for an “Unhappiness Hour” remain unconfirmed.
Fear Sensing Seahorse band members include former employees of Acclaim Entertainment, the Glen Cove-based video game company which went bankrupt recently, putting over 100 people out of work.
“That was and is a great group of people, and we hope a lot of our fellow newly impoverished ex-Acclaim friends will join us and take advantage of a great deal for a fun New Year’s Eve night out on the cheap”, said Bobby Saha, Seahorse bassist and former head of Acclaim’s website.
“It’s a nice chance to rock out, catch up and cut lose with pals who were canned. Basically, the message of Fear Sensing Seahorse is don’t worry, you’re going to get over this, 2005 is going to be a good year. If started out with the proper amount of twang, that is,” added drummer Bill Dickson, another former employee.
Fear Sensing Seahorse , the so-called “Neap Tide of Rock n Roll”, plays eclectic hits from the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. The Seahorse are: Jen Saha, vocals, Todd Brilliant on guitar, Bobby Saha, bass and Bill Dickson on drums. www.FearSensingSeahorse.com.
